About the project

Building digital health capacity for behavioral health professionals across Europe

Digi-HealthPro supports psychologists, therapists, counselors, and social workers in acquiring the skills needed to safely and effectively integrate digital tools into mental health practice.

What is Digi-HealthPro?

Digi-HealthPro is an Erasmus+ project designed to strengthen the digital health competencies of Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs)—including psychologists, therapists, counselors, and social workers—so they can effectively integrate telehealth, eHealth, and mHealth technologies into their daily clinical practice.

The project brings together partners from several European countries to co-create a shared digital competency framework, a comprehensive training curriculum, and a certification pathway that supports long-term adoption and quality assurance.

Context: Digital transformation in mental health

Digital transformation is reshaping healthcare across Europe. Online consultations, remote monitoring, mobile applications, and blended care pathways are becoming integral parts of mental health services. These developments offer new opportunities to reach service users, enhance accessibility, and personalize support.

At the same time, digitalization raises new questions about clinical quality, ethics, data protection, and professional boundaries. Behavioral Health Professionals need clear guidance and targeted training to confidently navigate this changing landscape.

  • Growing expectations from service users for flexible, digital access to support.
